FAQ

Common questions about using PS Playtime to check your PlayStation gaming hours.

What is PS Playtime?

PS Playtime is a free online tool that shows how many hours you have played each game on your PlayStation account. It works with PS4 and PS5 titles by pulling data from PlayStation Network.

Do I need to create an account?

No. PS Playtime does not require registration. Simply enter your PlayStation Network username and we will fetch your public gaming data.

Why can't my games be found?

The most common reason is that your PlayStation privacy settings are set to private. Your game library and playtime must be publicly visible for this tool to access them. Visit your PSN privacy settings and set 'Games' visibility to 'Anyone' or 'Friends of Friends'.

Is my PlayStation password required?

Never. PS Playtime only uses publicly available information associated with your PSN username. We will never ask for your password, email, or any login credentials.

How accurate is the playtime data?

The data comes directly from PlayStation's records. It should match what Sony has on file, though some older PS3-era titles or games played offline for extended periods may show incomplete data.

Can I look up someone else's playtime?

You can only look up profiles that have their gaming activity set to public in PSN privacy settings. We encourage users to only search for their own profile or profiles they have permission to view.

Is PS Playtime affiliated with Sony or PlayStation?

No. PS Playtime is an independent fan-made tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sony Interactive Entertainment or PlayStation.
